We have two key financial aims:
1) To raise money (approx £10,000 to £18,000 per year is about our level) to fund the cost of an Exeter City player. All money raised is to be paid via the Exeter City Supporters' Trust to Exeter City FC in order to cover the wages of City's Number 31. ---------------------- Total - £32,000 2) To generate enough additional (non-donation) income to cover all our other costs - including badges and other little tokens for members. For the first two years, we also paid ECFC to be the sponsors of our Number 31. Note: In 2011/12 there were no costs at all, other than the £15,000 to pay Callum McNish's wages. The 1931 Fund sponsored the City v Bury game, but this cost was met directly by those members who enjoyed hospitality on the day. Having changed our year end to May, in order to match ECFC, we raised our £10,000 in this eleven month year. However, with the agreement of Exeter City FC, only £7,000 of this was paid to the club via the Supporters Trust with the balance of £3,288.40 being carried over to the 2011/12 season.
With Pitch In and the Adam Stansfield Foundation both to the fore, we didn't really get stuck into the fundraising. As such, there's a loan of £240 to be repaid next year when we'll target about £1,000 of extra funds raised.

In summary, we paid our £10,000 to the Trust, which is covered by members' monthly donations, leaving a small balance to carry over to 2010/11. For the record, our final payment of £5,000 cleared our bank in mid-July, but we've included it in our 09/10 figures.
We raised further money through our sponsorship by Howard Financial Services, our two World Cup sweepstakes, which were helped greatly by independent City web site Exeweb, and the sale of James Norwood's 2009/10 City shirt to one of our members.
All of this, meant that the ECFC Commercial Department player sponsorship package for James and the cost of producing badges for our members were fully covered without dipping into the monthly payments. Thus, every penny of every member donation has gone or will go towards paying for Number 31.
